We commend Congressman Boucher for his tireless efforts in bringing much-needed technology infrastructure to Southwest Virginia. We also applaud those officials in Tazewell and Bland counties who worked to bring this grant money to their communities.

Initiative and perseverance pays off. And the proof of this will soon be evident in Tannersville and Mechanicsburg when the world truly is only a quick mouse click away.
(Abingdon, Va.) – U.S. Representative Rick Boucher announced today that Democrats from across Southwest Virginia will gather in Wytheville on Sunday, August 31, 2008 for the annual Acres of Democrats Rally. The event is an “old fashioned political rally” which will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Wytheville Meeting Center. Acres of Democrats serves as the official kick-off for the Fall campaign in the Ninth Congressional District.
